Carnations

This was the day I fell for them.  They are very pretty.  Don't underestimate the carnation. There is a book I love called "Bringing Nature Home" - there is a whole section dedicated to the origins of this fine flower, and trust me, after you see these and read that, you'll reconsider.  Like grocery store roses, they were bred to last and bred to travel, loosing some of their charm.  But they're coming back and boy are they charming!
